Presented by Sub.mission

DUB GABRIEL
http://www.myspace.com/dubgabriel
Producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist, Dub Gabriel has been pushing the limits of subwoofers worldwide for over a decade. His musical explorations in Brooklyn in the mid 90’s drew him to the outer limits of the New York scene where he got his start as a DJ at the legendary Limelight club. With his early sound being a portent of today’s burgeoning dubstep scene, his bass-bending style and hard-hitting sets launched him as a trailblazing figure in the New York underground club scene and gained him the attention of leading publications that include XLR8R, Interview, Billboard, Pitchfork, Time Out New York, The Wire, International DJ and countless others.

Sub.mission Presents...
HATCHA
http://www.myspace.com/djhatcha
"No one DJ or indeed producer can claim sole credit for dubstep . But when the history of the genre gets told, no DJ has ever had, or perhaps ever will again have so much influence over the course of the genre as Hatcha. It’s no overstatement to say the entire genre bares his stamp."
Martin Clark - blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com
Hatcha is Croydon's answer to Moodyman and has over 18 years of DJ experience under his belt. Following a job as A&R man and shop hand at the legendary Big Appple Records, Hatcha became the first main DJ behind the now worldwide recognised Dubstep genre. He also mixed the very first " "Dubstep Allstars" compilation (and volume 4 alongside Youngsta), making his name as the Godfather of Dubstep.

06.17.10: Sub.mission Presents Surefire SOund: L.D, ServOne, Omega, Thorazine

The most talented and creative producers can often be found lurking in the background – J Dilla, Tom Moulton, Rudy Van Gelder - and Leon Day aka L.D. is not one to buck the trend. Brought up on a diet of rootical reggae blasting through the bedroom floor on a Sunday morning in Peckham, south London, it is of little surprise that the reggae sampling, clashing breakbeats and hyper energy of Jungle, and more recently the half-step grooves of dubstep, would dictate his life’s path.
Sub.mission and Rottun Present EXCISION, SUBVERT and LIQUID STRANGER

Sub.mission and Rottun Present...
EXCISION
Taking influence from DnB, Metal, and Hip Hop, Excision is a Dubstep artist who must be heard to fully believe. Combining the morphing bass lines of Drum and Bass, the aggressive energy of Metal, and the laid back vibes of hip hop, Excision's style is incomparable.
This young Canadian's passion for music has already driven him to become one of the biggest Dubstep acts of North America. Anyone who has heard a set by this bad boy has walked away feeling energized and refreshed. If your lucky enough to catch a dj set, expect an assault of bass heavy tracks, mixed quickly and seamlessly.
Sub.Mission: 05.29.10 :: HEADHUNTER, NOAH D, DODGER, COULT 45

HEADHUNTER
http://www.myspace.com/dubstepheadhunter
Headhunter first made his mark in Dubstep by starting a label with Drum n Bass producer, Tech Itch in early 2006. Soon after 2 releases were in rotation, Tempa, the genre's pioneer label soon made the link to sign him exclusively.
Hailing from one of dubstep's landmark cities; Bristol, he's crafted a unique and distinctive style that reflects the soundsystem-inspired culture of his hometown and does justice to its rich musical history. With 2 Ep's released on Tempa and a string of remixes of producers such as Martin Buttrich, Brendon Moller, and Antix- the winter of '08 will see Headhunter focus on the anticipated release of his album on Tempa, as well as forthcoming collaborations and remixes with Kryptic Minds and Leon Switch

DLX

http://smogla.com/crew_dlx.php
DLX aka Doctor Lazarus X came to Los Angeles from North C arolina and hit the hot streets of the city runn ing, performing his first gig as an opener for Kode9 at a Pure Filth show. The crowd was already familiar with his brand of beats however, as cohort Knife Dreams had dropped one of his tracks at a previous Smog party that sent the crowd into ecstatic spasms and had them chanting for a ‘REWIND!’ The man behind the mania was soon signed to the first dubstep label in Los Angeles, Steps in Time Recordings, and went on to release “Matter of Fact” on the SMOG label, a banger that became a massive hit of 2008.
