This week one of the best to ever touch a pair of turntables returns to the Mile High city and we are so excited, the one an only Cut Chemist touches down at club Vinyl. This legendary DJ is coming to town this Wednesday to demolish the decks and leave you wanting more.
Cut Chemist is seriously one in a million when it comes too the art of DJing, he is what you call a “Turntablist”. He is the only sample based DJ to be signed to a major US label, he helped create one of the best hip-hop groups of all time, Jurassic 5, and he was even recently our tour with DJ Shadow playing sets out of the record collection of Afrika Bambaataa. Cut Chemist is featured in the award-winning documentary “This is the Life”, chronicling the music movement which was birthed at The Good Life Cafe in South Central Los Angeles. The Good Life is the open-mic workshop where he first performed with Unity Committee in the early 1990s and launched Jurassic 5. In 2004, Cut Chemist's song 'Drums of Fire' was part of the soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Underground 2, he made an appearance in the 2007 comedy Juno, playing a high school chemistry teacher, playing on his "chemist" stage-name, and the list goes on.
Join us this Wednesday down at Club Vinyl and see for yourself why this man can do no wrong when it comes to music, vibe with us as we take a journey down a special street with the direction that only Cut Chemist can give, and with a soundtrack that no one in the world can create like the Cut Chemist!
