Sukh Knight and Squarewave are two of the most eminent masters of bass. This Tuesday is a mega doubleheader because both of these guys have tunes bigger than “ya mama.” Sukh’s Tiger style has been pushing bass and boundaries for over ten years. His rolling basslines and witty wobbles first caught our attention with his instant classics ‘Ganja Dub’ and ‘Diesel Not Petrol’ back in the late 2000’s. He’s an OG in the Grime scene but lately his monstrous rollers have really proved his test of time. His magic is unparalleled especially when he uses dub vocals or even remixes a jungle tune like Congo Natty ‘Get Ready’ Some of his newest tunes really prove how he has mastered the realms of husltin’ vibes and low end frequencies. If Eazy E was around today he’s probably spittin’ flows to Sukh’s ‘Hustlerz.’ Check out Insterstellar and Hustlerz below. His tunes go so hard it will make you want to wheel up with your face!
Squarewave has released on music on H.E.N.C.H Recordings, New World Audio and Moonshine Recordings. You’ll get lost in the dark abyss of his deep and heavy tunes while listening to his flawless mixing skills. His bass heavy production is the next level of dubby vibes. His sets include a heavy reggae dub, silky synth and fierce drops.
Check these guys out in action on the GetDarkerTV #169 video.
