Now that 2016 is finally here, a new year means new artists and fresh sounds being brought your way from Sub.mission. As all the new show announcements keep coming in, one of the nights that I have been the stoked about is the long awaited Denver debut of the one and only Trashbat hailing from the UK! Staying true to Sub.mission’s motto of Moving People Thru Sound, Not Hype, this is a phenomenal booking that demonstrates Trashbat’s true underground heritage and on February 19 Denver is going to experience the smooth, soulful vibe of one of MindStep’s finest!
Callum Grant, better known as ‘Trashbat’ has become an iconic staple throughout the bass music circuit and his sound has gained support and recognition from some of the biggest names in the industry. His tunes have continuously rumbled dance floors and shook the airwaves on premier platforms such as Hatcha’s Kiss100, Distance & J:Kenzo’s Rinse FM shows, Beezy on Rood FM, DJ Crises on Sub FM, to only name a few. Internationally, Trashbat is known as a DJ/Producer that is truly well rounded and multi-faceted. His intricate sound design is truly groundbreaking and is not limited to a single genre or style. With influences stemming from Garage, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, and most recently Hip-Hop, Trashbat’s music evokes pure passion that penetrates the soul with soothing melodies and a euphoric, upbeat energy.
With massive releases on labels such as MindStep, Chord Marauders, & Deep Heads under his belt, Trashbat demonstrates his wide ranging soundscape with unprecedented abilities to curate a variety of sounds with top-notch production that never disappoints. Tunes like ‘Mariachi’ , ‘Electric Ape’ , “Pastiche’, ‘Hanako’ & ‘Sellout’ have become some over my personal favorites and further showcase his diverse musical background. Regardless of the style being performed, Trashbat is sure to make a colossal impact in his Denver debut and bring some proper UK vibes to the dance floor in the Mile High City with an intention to make you dance and put on a set that you can not only hear, but one you can FEEL.
TRASHBAT- PASTICHE
His countless live streams and features on GetDarker have further solidified Trashbat’s versatility behind the decks as he is no stranger to the home of underground bass music and he consistently brings something new and refreshing to the table.
Check out the most recent Trashbat appearance at GetDarker TV 284 this past September as he graces the decks with his soulful vibes accompanied by vocals from the one and only Ill Chill!
The Barenehurst hometown hero has been capturing crowds internationally and turning heads with his unmistakably jazzy, chilled, atmospheric moods that get bodies moving and heads nodding regardless of setting and to see him perform live and direct in the intimacy of Cervantes’ Other Side is going to be a very special treat!
Join us as we get Trashy on the dance floor this upcoming Tuesday night and vibe out to the sound of one of the UK’s most prolific artists as his sound is sure to cater to bass music lovers of every spectrum.
