Well Sub. Massive, were officially one month into 2017 and it looks like things are in full swing and not showing any signs of stopping. January has shown us such amazing nights such as Dirt Monkey came home to Electronic Tuesday and flexed his skills on the Bass Couch system, Addison Groove b2b Headhunter was a night that will go down as one of the best of the year and the long awaited debut of Asa was one that we’ll never forget. As we move forward in to February there are some seriously insane nights in this already stacked month of music. We have debuts, homecomings and a couple of long awaited returns. So whether you already know or want to be in the know; sit back and get ready for this edition of This Month in Bass.
We start this Friday with the long awaited Denver debut. On February 3rd Sub.mission presents the 'Powerpuff USA Tour' with the Denver debut of Berrix and the return of Styn! These two powerhouses have been on a war path, tearing up dance floors across the globe as of late. Their sound covers a wide range of styles that are sure to keep the dance moving from front-to-back and we’re excited to finally have them @ The Black Box. Holding it down on support duties we have sets from Sub.mission residents Swayd & Ind33p! This one is a seriously big show and is definitely setting the tone for the rest of the month.

Next up on February 7th we have The Black Box debut of Mt Analogue & Aplsoz! Having recently joined forces on the 'Strange Alchemy EP' released on ThazDope Records this past month, Mt. Analogue & Aplsoz are ready to debut some fresh new music for us at Electronic Tuesdays. Widely known for their trippy, spacey and experimental sound design, these two have built some serious momentum coming into 2017 and we can't wait to kick off the 1st E Tuesday of the month with these two! Also in the January winners battle we have locals Stumpy, C02, Elemental Hero & Creature competing for the top spot!

Next up on February 9th, making their highly anticipated Denver debuts, join us at The Black Box as Sub. Mission Presents Dayzero & Karnage hailing all the way from Japan! Their tunes have been shaking airwaves and moving dance floors on a global scale and they're sure to make the same impact in their Denver debut! Joining these two are fellow Encrypted Audio label-mates and two of Denver Dubstep’s finest, Trisicloplox & Dalek One. Brace yourself for a complete night of bass heavy madness.

The following night on February 10th Sub.mission proudly presents the return of Emalkay to Denver in his Black Box debut. Hailing from Birmingham, UK, Emalkay is a house hold name in the world of dubstep. With massive tunes such as 'When I Look At You' , 'Fabrication' , 'Bad' & many more, his raw and uncut sound design has been igniting dance floors globally since 2005 and he's sure to make an impact in his Black Box debut as we finally get tp see him flex The Bass Couch. Joining him on support duties are bad boys CurlyOne and Thanom throwing down a b2b set, Mile High Club bad boy AOWL and Denver heavy hitter Froz+Wr3ck. This is sure to be one of the biggest nights of the year!

The following Tuesday, on February 14, hailing from California, Saule is talent that has been making some serious moves over the years with groundbreaking releases on imprints like GourmetBeats, FatKidOnFire and Dubs Alive to name a few. His DJ sets are stocked full of original as well as exclusive and unreleased material and theres no doubt that he is sure to take you on a one of kind journey from beginning to end. Joining on support duties is Sub.mission resident Dillard, along with Encrypted Audio's very own Ceiva! Definitely don’t sleep on this one.

The week after on February 21st, we have Sub.mission resident alumni, Kairos Audio bad man and Forest Service label head Shank Aaron making his return to the Sub.mission stage and his Black Box debut. For thise of you that don’t know, Shank Aaron was a resident a few years ago and since then he has blown up with releases on Kairos Audio and launching his own label Forrest Service. Joining him is long time Sub.mission resident Caustik and upcoming riddim duo Counterfeit Rainbow. This one is going be a heavy hitter so make sure youre neck braces are ready!

On February 25 we have a seriously insane triple header at The Black Box. Join us as welcome none other than Thelem, Mesck, & the Denver debut of LA/Sao Paulo power house Oxossi. The entire night's lineup is dedicated to showcasing some of the finest and most innovative talents in underground bass music and each of these artists have made serious moves and progression in both sound design, production and performance skills. Denver has always loved both Thelem and Mesck and we are beyond excited to finally be able to see Oxossi in The Mile High. Joining them on support, all the way from Minnesota following both of his victories in the DJ battles at Electronic Tuesdays, we welcome special guest Nicky Boy Floyd back to The Black Box. With a line up like this Capitol Hill is sure to be shaken to its core!

Closing out February on the 28th we have Recon DnB resident and all around d bad man Solid taking over the Electronic Tuesdays stage. Solid has been smashing up Denver dance floors for years and it’s always a good time when the Recon family is in the house. Holding it down on support duties is local heavy hitting junglists Shaman and Sub.Soldier DiS_1. This line up is seriously stacked and is a seriously proper way to finish off the month. Definitely do not sleep on this one!

February is always a short month but this year we have it jam packed full of awesomeness. With the caliber that these E-Tuesday and one off line ups are at one can only guess what’s on the horizon regarding the Sub.mission ten year in April. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though; we still have March to get through. With names like Ivy Lab, Doctor Jeep, Shades and Flava D in the mix for March, you already know it’s going to be a banging month. Make sure you get you presales to be on the safe side and also make there early each Tuesday for the local DJ battles. This month we have A.S. Tech, Gump, Sin 7, Krushendo, Wrek Dubz, Ryuk, King Doja, Domino Trixter and MarcBaca all competing for a spot in the February winners round next month.
