Trolley Snatcha - SUBTEXT EP - DP061
1. Make My Whole World [Vinyl & Digital]
2. Nasty Shit [Vinyl & Digital]
3. Giving Up [Vinyl & Digital]
4. Flying Missiles [Vinyl & Digital]
5. The Jungle [Digital Only]
Coming off the back of a lengthy tour of the US, we are happy to announce that Trolley Snatcha is making his long-awaited return to the label for the first time since 2010 ‘One Trick Pony’ EP with a lethal double pack of chaotic concoctions the likes of which only Trolley Snatcha could be behind.
Delving straight in with ‘Make My World’, a shuddering 808 intro gives a nod to his hop hop influences before flipping it on its head with a juddering midrange b-line and extra-terrestrial synths. Up next ‘Nasty Shit’ delivers exactly what it promises; Sidechained pads and detuned synths set the scene for the neck-snappin’ drum line and fierce bassline which create a ferocious, jarring bounce. ‘Giving Up’ shifts the mood letting the diva vocals take centre stage as he crafts a stadium sized production around them while ‘Flying Missiles’ rounds off the vinyl, an intergalactic journey led by the electric sound palette and impeccable bass manipulation. For those that buy digital, the package comes with bonus track ‘The Jungle’ to sweeten the deal. Revealing yet another string to his bow, Trolley constructs a tough 4x4 drum line that lays the foundations for the glitchy synths and swelling low end, a fittingly rude climax to his latest EP.
Trolley Snatcha has long since proved he is a label stalwart delivering track after track of pure quality so it is no wonder why he has had such a serious effect on the scene. His ever-expanding sonic palette and creativity herald a big future for this young producer.

EMALKAY FEAT. ROD AZLAN – FLESH & BONE - DP062
1. Emalkay ft. Rod Azlan – Flesh & Bone
2. Emalkay ft. Rod Azlan – Flesh & Bone (The Others Remix)
3. Emalkay ft. Rod Azlan – Flesh & Bone (Dismantle Remix)
4. Emalkay ft. Rod Azlan – Flesh & Bone (Delta Heavy Remix)
Release date: 27/02/2012
2011 was undoubtedly a defining year for Emalkay. With the release of his debut album ‘Eclipse’ he cemented his place at the forefront of the ever-evolving bass music scene with its exploration of the many different facets of his sound, from eyes-down darkness to rave-tinged jungle and a whole lot more in between. Starting off the new year, we are dropping standout album track ‘Flesh & Bone’ featuring Rod Azlan along with a top notch selection of remixes.
Building layers of jarring synths and taut percussion around Azlan’s rich vocals, Emalkay sets the tone for the track perfectly. As it drops into a rattling amen break and wall of distorted bass, there is no contesting the pure impact of ‘Flesh & Bone’. Azlan’s vocals compliment this progressive roller peerlessly, aided by the pervasive fog of ethereal synths.
First up on remix duties is Dub Police’s own ‘The Others’ who injects the original with his defining upfront dubstep sound to deliver a huge track. The spectral build up combined with a cleverly manipulated vocal sets up a first drop laced with venom. Distorted, juddering synths and a grit-ridden bassline give attitude to this track right the way through. Currently rising through the ranks with astonishing speed and receiving acclaim from some of the scene’s most prominent tastemakers, Dismantle delivers another inimitable hit with his rework of Flesh & Bone. The stomping subs, glitchy snares and soca-flecked 4x4 drum line make this track a certified banger. Last but by no means least are Delta Heavy, who wrap up the EP with a heavyweight drum & bass production. A booming bassline and catchy old-skool flavoured piano loops give a nod to the original’s jungle tendencies while the layers of wavering synths makes sure this track is bursting with energy.
With this fourth release taken from 'Eclipse', the vitality and continuing resonance of the album is evident and Emalkay continues to prove that he is not going anywhere any time soon. Starting the year on a powerful note, we are excited to witness the next chapter.

Also featured is a new video for Goth Trad's tune entitled "Off Grid," from the "Epoch EP" which is now on DEEP MEDi! Reminiscent of a deranged filmmaker at work, the footage is deep, twisted, and stunning. Ill let the video speak for itself.
