Digid's fresh mix will have you swimming in low frequencies throughout. With real roots vibes blended flawlessly with futuristic deepness, Digid brings you an exclusive mix featuring a grip of subby originals and tracks from some of the largest names in dubstep. I had the pleasure of finding out a little more about this badman - check out the short interview below:

Coleman: Where are you originally from?

Digid: Belgium, Sint-Niklaas ( a city between Ghent and Antwerp)

    Coleman: Where are you currently?

Digid: Still in Sint-niklaas and moving to a new hous in a few weeks to live with a good friend, will be lots of fun haha. He's a big musicfan aswell, partytime every day!

Coleman: How long have you been producing?

Digid: Been into music since I was 8 years and discovered DnB around 14 years old. Started to use Fruity Loops because a friend was messing around with and so was I. But as soon as I heard Dubstep I really got into producing seriously and this was about 5 years ago. So you could say I'm producing about 5 years now.

    Coleman: Who are your influences?

Digid: I listen to alot of different types of Dubstep but never the really filthy tunes, can't listen to that, it sounds like squealing pigs to me haha. But my influences atm are Phaeleh, Lx One, Lost, Sp Mc, Requake, Distance, Kanka, Vibronics, Iration Steppas, Kryptic Minds, kromestar... Too many to sum up actually.

Coleman: Where do you see yourself in the next year?

Digid: I hope this year more people will get to know my music and that I can do alot of gigs around the world. Got some releases coming up also as my new project with a friend that plays Dubstep as Primate. Our collab name is Undertone and we'll be releasing an EP in a few months.

But I have a good feeling that 2012 will be the year I'll breakthrough or at least get some more attention.

Coleman: Tell me a bit about your tune selection for the podcast

All the tracks in the podcast are things I really enjoy myself atm. I tried to be diverse as possible in the mix. From Dub to deep stuff to more party minded tracks. I made this mix without preparing the set first and did it in one take so if there are mistakes in it, I'm sorry for that haha. But i don't like preparing mixes or sets. A good dj plays unprepared every time.

Coleman: What program do you use to produce?

I'm now using Reason 6. It.s the best version ever. Before, I always had to rewire Reason 5 with Ableton Live to be able to use audio samples or vocals. But with 6 you can use audio aswell so I'm only using Reason these days. Also the new effects are insane, it really can take your sounds to the next level.

Big up to Digid for the new mix and interview!
